Havtornen

Havtornen has been the Student Union house in Vasa for The Student Union of Åbo Akademi Universtity since 2007. The towers were previously owned by Vasa Ångkvarn Ab (a steam mill) and functioned as elevator towers to transport and unloading goods from cargo ships moored beside the elevator towers. Today you’ll find the Student Union’s office in the towers, as well as meeting rooms, representation premises and a sauna. The towers were renamed as Havtornen, “The sea towers”, and can be rented by members of the Student Union at ÅAU, ÅAS’ student associations as well as everyone else.
