Vacant seats as student representative

There are several vacancies for student representatives on various bodies and working groups within Åbo Akademi University’s administration. Come and have your say in decision-making at your university!

Your involvement helps to build a stronger community, where everyone feels heard and included at the university. At the same time, you will gain valuable experience and develop skills such as leadership and communication – something that will be of great benefit to you both during and after your studies. Your contribution makes a difference!

The open positions as student representatives

Faculty Council in Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FHS), One (1) substitute.
Faculty Council in Faculty of Science and Engineering (FNT), One (1) substitute.
Department of Education Council, One (1) substitute.
Åbo Akademi University Election Board, One (1) member and one (1) substitute.

Two (2) members in the working groups for the studies in Education.
One (1) member in a university wide working group for student welfare.

The language within ÅAU administration is Swedish and therefor it is required to be able to both read and speak Swedish in the meetings. The application forms are found on the Swedish version of this page. The deadline for applications is 15 November 2026.
