May Day at Vårdberget 2024!

Do you have your student, technology, or graduation cap nearby? If you don’t have it yet, it’s time to make sure you have it soon! The first unofficial official day of spring is approaching along with the traditional May Day Eve celebration at Vårdberget!
On April 30, 2024, the Student Union of Åbo Akademi University (ÅAS), together with YLE, Florakören and Brahe Djäknar, will organize the springtime May Day Eve´s celebrations at Vårdberget in Turku.
When the parade along with lots of different student association flags arrive at Vårdberget, expect choir singing, speeches, and what we’ve all been waiting for, the cap tossing. You won’t want to miss when thousands of students and friends hear the words “Students, spring is here” and at the same time put on their awaited graduation caps to welcome just that, that spring is here!
The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feel free to show up with or without your cap but in your springiest mood!
