Design a cover for the Kårkalender

ÅAS organizes a design competition for the Kårkalender.
The winner gets a prize!

Are you an artistic person? Would you like to have your art displayed across campus every day? Do you feel lost without a calendar each semester? Now you have a great opportunity to influence what the next Kårkalender will look like!
Participate in ÅAS’ cover page competition! We want to see you participate with one, or why not several, entries for the cover of Kårkalender for the term 2026-2027.

When designing, keep in mind that Åbo Akademi University has campus in two locations where the Kårkalender is handed out. The Student Union of ÅAU’s logo and the text “Kårkalendern 2026-2027” can be included, or left room for in the design.

The design can depict something that has to do with studies, university towns or ÅAU, but it is not a requirement. As the artist, you have free hands. In addition to the promised prize, as the artist of the cover page, you get your name in the calendar and visibility to your artist account on for example, Instagram, if you wish.

The cover can be a drawn picture, a photograph, digital graphic design or a combination of several different art forms. Let your creativity flow and send your entries to Board member in charge of communications, Matilda Bei Korkiala via email: samarbete@studentkaren.fi, the deadline is April 26th!
