Spring’s biggest celebration is here, May Day at Vårdberget, which is also celebrating its 100 anniversary this year! In the year 1925, students decided to move their May Day celebrations to Vårdberget, this is also when the celebration with song and speech started on May Day.
On 30 April 2025 we welcome all of you to take part in the May Day celebrations 100 anniversary on Vårdberget in Åbo. Come to celebrate May Day and the arrival of spring together with thousands of students and friends!
When the flag procession with the student associations’ flags has arrived to Vårdberget we celebrate May Day with choir song, speech and putting on the student caps. The event starts at 6 p.m., it’s worth coming a little earlier to find your friends and mingle, the program will end at 7 p.m.
