Vad är en studentkår?
Vid varje universitet i Finland finns en studentkår vars syfte är att bevaka de studerandes intressen. Vid Åbo Akademi hör denna uppgift till Åbo Akademis Studentkår. Studentkårernas uppgifter är stadgade i universitetslagen och för att vara en kraftfull aktör, som universitetet lyssnar till, har det i lagen stadgats att alla studerande automatiskt är medlemmar i sin studentkår.
